Tahr Hunt - South Island

Hunt for one of New Zealand’s most rewarding trophies – the Majestic Bull Tahr is found in the high country of the Southern Alps in the South Island – We have a private property located in the south Canterbury high country with both Tahr and Chamois for hunting. This property does have vehicle access however it does require a good level of fitness as we do climb a fair amount of altitude to get to where the Tahr are.

This property does require one on one Guiding due to safety requirements and the climatic conditions that the Southern Alps can experience.

Trip includes professional hunting guides, travel to and from Christchurch airport traveling by 4WD to south Canterbury property  Accommodation in a back country style hut or shearers quarters, all food and beverages, Quality firearms and other gear can be supplied.

We field prep your trophy ready for the taxidermist  - If you don’t have a preferred Taxidermist then we can help with making arrangements.

Chamois Hunts are also available on this property if you are interested in a hunting a Chamois Trophy or would like to hunt both the alpine game animals together then we can also arrange this please feel free to contact us and we can put together a hunting package.
